National Lottery Award

Holt Community Gardeners are once again delighted to announce that the National Lottery Awards for All have awarded us a third grant to support our community of Holt.

This award has two main objectives:

1. To buy four new, low level, flower planters to be located on the Cross, and, ten half barrier planters for the railings on the corner of Church Street and the Cross.

2. A small amount of money to start a sculpture trail.

This excellent news adds to our two previous awards (in 2020) for the polytunnel and equipment on the allotments and is a testament to the support the National Lottery has given Holt.

As we come out of lockdown we recognise the damage this pandemic has inflicted on our society. We are proud to say that Holt Community Gardeners have been able to offer an outlet for many people during the pandemic even for those confined to their homes. This project has been planned and designed with the intention of lighting up the centre of the village and expanding public art for Holt.

In this way we hope to help heal the damage of the pandemic and lift the hearts and souls of those in our community and our many visitors.
