The bowling green has been established in the village for over 30 years and has been a constant meeting place for the people of Holt to enjoy a game of bowls and some refreshments.

School facilities within the former Community Centre are available to hire for birthdays, meetings, and events. There is free parking and a kitchenette.

Our Community Room is an entirely self contained facility with its own toilets, kitchenette and access independent of the school and as such can be used by small groups (up to about sixteen in number) during as well as outside school hours.

The main hall and lounge are available outside school hours only, and thanks to a lockable adjoining door the facilities of the Community Room can be added to any booking.

Prices are based on a standard booking of 3 hours, and are as follows:

Main Hall and kitchenette: £35
Community Room: £18
Lounge: £18

For Parties and larger events requiring all three rooms: £50 (for maximum of 6 hours)

For Special Events requiring All Day Hire: £150

The group is involved with enhancing the village of Holt and it’s surrounds through improving the community spaces in the village. There is a community allotment and areas throughout the village will be improved over the coming years starting with the Cross. There are opportunities for people of all ages to get involved with design, planning, seed sowing and propagation, planting, harvesting, greenhouse work and more.

The first meeting of Holt WI took place in Holt Endowed School on Tuesday November 6th 1973. Mrs Inez Bellis was elected as President.

There were 56 members and it was decided to meet on the first Tuesday each month in the Kenyon Hall. One of the first speakers was Mr Jack Powell on ‘the History of Holt’. In 1983 the WI moved to the Community Centre.

The WI has played an important part in the in the life of the village ever since. In recent years we have joined with members from Marchwiel and have at present 30 members.

We have lively, informative and enjoyable meetings. These are held in Holt Community Centre, Chapel Street, at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday each month. Visitors are very welcome to come along to any meeting as a guest, for a small fee and if they decide to join the Annual Membership is £30.

Annual membership is £20. Visitors to the club pay £3 or £4 if it is an Open Meeting. The Holt Flower Club meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm with a demonstration by a qualified floral arranger. The AGM is held the third Tuesday in September.Outings also arranged by the club.

The Society was founded in March 1992. Its aim is to promote the study of the History of Holt and the surrounding area. Members will receive newsletters periodically throughout the year. The Society has working groups on various projects.

A community choir performing traditional and contemporary music from around the world, all taught by ear.

The Trees of Holt Society aims to promote, the propagation, planting, care and conservation of trees in Holt and its surrounds. It provides local provenance trees, produces a stock of locally sourced deciduous trees given free of charge to local residents.

Rachel Williams, a member of the British Wheel of Yoga, holds classes as follows:
