Appeal for Photographs Print

The Holt iBeacon project is progressing and we are asking for anyone who might have old photos of Holt, it's people and life in the village if they would share these with the project with a view to some of them being used to be shown on the beacons. An example of what we are looking for is attached.

For anyone not familiar with the project, ibeacons are small electronic devices that allow you to tell site-specific stories on location to people via their smart phone or tablet without the need for wifi. These will be placed at 10 strategic locations around the village. Users download the app either at home or in a wifi hotspot and then are able to access content that might include images, audio or video as they explore the trail. Holt was chosen as one of only eighteen communities in North East Wales due to its impressive heritage, it’s appeal to visitors and residents and the active commitment demonstrated on many previous projects carried out in the community.

We are now at the stage where we are enlisting the help of some residents to relay their stories and talk about the bridge, the church, the castle and many other aspects of our community. If you would like to help please contact us through the Holt village website ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
