Holt Community Council meets monthly at the Community Centre, Chapel Street, Holt. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings as observers, though they may not themselves take part unless invited.

Holt Cemetery – Revised Fees For Burial

The following fees have been set by Holt Community Council effective from 1st April, 2014.

NEW GRAVE

  • £100.00  resident
  • £500.00 non resident – no Holt connections.
  • £200.00 non resident –  with Holt connections.



RE-OPEN

  • £50.00   resident
  • £200.00 non resident – no Holt Connections.
  • £100.00 non resident – with Holt connections.



CREMATION

NEW PLOT

  • £50.00 resident

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT – MODEL PUBLICATION SCHEME – JANUARY 2009.

Holt Community Council formally adopted the above act, without modification , at their monthly meeting in January.

The act basically requires the Holt Community Council to make available to the Public, information on the following, if requested to do so. The members proposed that the first 10 copies of information be free and then a charge of 10p a copy will be made. Any requests for information on any of the following are available on hard copies only and should be requested from the Clerk at the above address.

Financial Matters – income and expenditure and financial audit are always published, as required by law, on the notice board.
Annual Return Form and report from Audit – the annual return is placed on the notice but copies of the report should be requested!
Agendas and Notification of Meetings are placed on the notice board and on Holt website. Minutes of meetings are available on the website and copies are available of past meetings on hard copy via the clerk.

The Holt Community Council are responsible for the following services:
Allotments – register held.
Cemetery – registers held.
Toilets.
Playing Field.
Some seating.
Lighting.
Bowling Green.
Register of Members’ Interest and Gifts and Hospitality – with Clerk.

Other matters in the village should be reported to us and we will contact the necessary authority but we do not hold information on Wrexham County Borough matters!

HOLT COMMUNITY COUNCIL
ADOPTION OF THE REVISED CODE OF CONDUCT
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2000.

Notice is given that the Holt Community Council has adopted a revised Members Code of Conduct (as adopted by Wrexham County Borough Council).

The document adopted by WCBC which is the same as the version adopted by Holt Community Council is available for inspection by members of the public at the Guildhall, Wrexham between the hours of 8.45 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. Monday to Thursday and between 8.45 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on Fridays.
